The War Room Battle Ground

Hello my friends! It's a joy to have you take time to read this post.  It lets me know that you on the right track to growing in Jesus Christ and you're ready to develop a more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.  I encourage to keep reading to the very end! Let's get you prepared to go to WAR.

Today, there is so much chaos in the world.  Evil is very prevalent throughout the land.  Truly, we're living in perilous times.  In 2020 alone, we have seen heart-wrenching devastation, uprising of violence, and multiple deaths. Truly, it will be a year to go down in history.  Who would have ever thought that we would witness such events as we have this year.  Did it make you want to pray more? Well, there is no better time than the present to draw nigh to God.  James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."  In this season especially, it is essential to have a prayer life.  It is past time for you to devote a special place where you can retreat to spend quality time with God.  Did you catch that, Quality Time?  Matthew 6:6 says, "But thou, when you prayest, enter into your closet and when you have shut the door, pray to the Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly."  Do you now see there is a benefit in praying?  As you fellowship with God in your quiet place, you will become more acquainted with Father God.  A solid relationship will be developed in the War Room as you pray.  I call it the War Room because it's there that I do battle in the spirit realm.  It's okay for other people to pray for you or even with you, but I tell you it's a whole different ball game when you begin to pray for yourself.  It gets very up close and personal with God. Do you want God to know your name?  Well when you continually spend time praying to God, He will definitely know you by name intimately.  Quality time in the War Room affords you the opportunity to talk with God, listen to Him and familiarize yourself with the Personality, Character, and Attributes of God the Father.

There are some important items you should always keep on hand in your prayer closet.  That's why is best to find designated place in your home where you can store these things.  If you're not able to have a special room to pray in; I then suggest creating a prayer basket or bag to keep your essential prayer items in.  Of course, you wondering what items right? Well, let me provide you with more clarity with a compilation of things that will be useful during your prayer session.

"WAR ROOM" Prayer Necessities
  1. BIBLE -- The Holy Bible is divinely inspired to show us the magnitude of the sovereignty, power, and grace and love of God to lead us to salvation.  It provides us with examples, instructions, guidance, knowledge, revelation, and wisdom to help navigate us through life. BIBLE 101 -- You don't have to read an entire Book of the Bible each time; it's okay to read a few passages of scripture to meditate. It's good to also try memorizing scriptures that really ministered to you.  Also, incorporate rereading the scriptures from Sunday or mid-week Services.  Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."  Incorporate praying Scriptures aloud. (verses on healing, deliverance, forgiveness, etc.)
  2. WORSHIP MUSIC -- Find some good worship music to play during your prayer time. Worship music allows you to become settled in your mind, heart, and spirit. Psalm 66:4 say, "All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name."  Worship music ushers you into the presence of God and helps to position you into a posture of humility and reverence before praying.  As you enter into worship mode, your spirit is quickened to alert your mind to be receptive to the move and flow of  Holy Spirit. John 4:24 says, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
  3. ANOINTING OIL -- The Anointing Oil sole function is so sanctify and set us apart from as God's children. Anointing Oil is virgin olive oil that has been consecrated by an anointed and purified vessel of God being either a male or female.  You can have your Pastor or another anointed person to pray over the oil.  I suggest before you begin praying to anoint yourself with the oil preferably your forehead, mouth, ears, feet, and hands.  But, do as the Holy Spirit leads you because at different times, I've been lead to anoint certain body parts.
  4. PRAYER JOURNAL & PEN -- Use the journal to notate things God reveals to you during prayer.  Write down detailed instructions the Holy Spirit gives you so you don't come out of prayer wondering what you just heard. Also, it's a good idea to log in your prayer journal all the prayers that God has answered.
  5. VISION BOARD -- The vision board contains a collective outline of your goals, dreams, and aspirations for ministry, marriage, family, health, education, and career. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."  Pray about the things on your vision board, and ask God to give you wisdom to implement those things.
  6. EVANGELISM LIST -- Make a list of all the people God has dropped in your mind to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with.  Mark 16:15-16 says, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."  Intercede for those individuals often praying that the chains and bonds of darkness will be broken from over their lives. Ephesians 6:18 says, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."
  7. PRAYER PILLOW and/or CHAIR -- You want to be able to function in prayer and not be distracted by tired or aching legs, back or feet.  May your War Room Prayer Closet as comfy as possible. You can use the pillow for your knees when kneeling to pray. If needed, put a chair in it so you can be relaxed.  You don't always have to be on bended knee or laying prostrate before the Lord.  However, being prostrate is a sign of humility in God's presence.
I encourage you to make these necessities applicable to your daily life.  What will happen if you do?  If you practice this daily, I assure you that you will flourish in your spiritual growth.  You will acquire a greater revelation of who God is and what He expects of you.  You will get revelation concerning God's purpose for your life. To add, you will also be able to experience the sheer peace of God resting on you. And you won't be so anxious or fearful  of what tomorrow holds. The best part of it all is that it will not be a duty to pray but rather a delightful steal away, and you will surely enjoy getting in the presence of God.

It is my prayer that God will keep you and richly bless you with more grace and favor.
Lord God, I pray for the person reading this that they will desire to come closer to you.  I pray that a fire ignites within them to pray.  Lord, I pray for a yielding in their mind, heart, and soul. I pray they will yearn continually to be in your presence.  And Father, as they draw nigh unto You, let Your peace rest upon them.  May they press forward to study the Word of God, and learn more about You. Even now in the name of Jesus, I come against every attack of the devil that would try to hinder them from getting into the presence of God.  In  the name of Jesus, I bind every spirit of heaviness, sleepiness, tiredness, anxiety, worry, and distraught that would delay or hinder their prayer time. In the name of Jesus, I loose the peace and calm of God in their lives that they may rest mentally, spiritually, and physically. In Jesus' name, I seal up this prayer and call in done and so it is and so shall it be. Amen!

I pray you will go higher in your walk with God by making these simple practices applicable in your life beginning today.  For more information on Christian living and inspiration, please check out other encouraging videos on my YouTube channel at:  KLun Divine Inspirations
